Altamonte Springs and Seminole County

Altamonte Springs
Located in the northern suburbs of Orlando, Altamonte Springs is not only a prime business location, but a wonderful place to live as well. One key element to this quality of life is the preservation of the "natural" side of Florida, which can be enjoyed along the Wekiva and St. Johns Rivers, in 18 public parks, and 4,000 acres of nature preserves throughout Seminole County. The Altamonte Springs area offers a wide variety of recreational and sports activities, golf courses and special events such as the Lake Mary/Heathrow Arts Festival, Arts Alive and several National Amateur Softball events. The U.S. Soccer Federation's National Training Center is located here, as is the training site for the U.S Women's Gold Medal Soccer Team.

Seminole County
Seminole County, where Altamonte Springs is located, has experienced a substantial amount of growth, particularly in the commercial and industrial areas. Our current population is approximately 357,000 and anticipated to grow at a steady 3-4% annually. Seminole has generally been viewed as Orlando's bedroom community, but that is changing dramatically and now neighboring Volusia County is being dubbed as Seminole County's bedroom community. With the inception of the Seminole County "Jobs Growth Incentive Program", we have seen the local government take on a more aggressive and pro-active approach to diversifying the economy by enticing new businesses into the area.
