Mountain State University's School of Arts and Sciences offers a broad range of electives and specializations in such fields to match your interests and abilities. With emphasis placed on the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, our curriculum provides a foundation of knowledge that encourages intellectual growth and promotes specialized educational development.

Choose from such traditional art and science disciplines as biology, liberal studies, psychology, or religious studies. Our liberal studies degree program even allows you to design a concentration of study. If you have interest in a more contemporary degree concentration, you can select from one of our programs including criminal justice, engineering, environmental sustainability, fire science, forensic investigation, graphic design, occupational health and safety, teacher preparation, theatre performance, or wildlife management.

Through lectures, labs, and small-group discussions, our faculty members strive to provide their students with the skills, knowledge, and perspectives required to become specialists in their chosen fields of study. As a result, our graduates enter the work force or begin post-graduate studies as professionals.
