What can I study in psychology at MSU?

Mountain State University's Bachelor of Arts in psychology is a forward-moving, dynamic program. The program is based on a scientific approach to transformative learning, intellectual diversity, and the exploration of essential questions. This scientific approach helps you learn to think critically, dispel myth, and apply evidence-based approaches to real-world environments. You will gain an understanding of values and ethics from an international perspective while engaged in a rigorous exploration of theory.

While we offer a broad foundation in psychology as recommended by the American Psychological Association guidelines for undergraduate programs, MSU makes every effort to afford students research opportunities in areas of psychology not found in the typical program. Individual faculty members often mentor students in a specialty area of psychological interest such as sports psychology, positive psychology, or law. Optional practicum experiences expose you to some of the diverse settings where psychological knowledge is used, and provides opportunities to creatively apply professional skills and exhibit excellence in the community.
