Accounting - Forensic/Fraud Examination

What certifications are available?

A certified fraud examiner, CFE, is the globally preferred credential in fraud examination awarded by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). The ACFE is the world's largest anti-fraud organization, with more than 55,000 members. MSU's degree tracks in forensic accounting and fraud examination help prepare students to sit for the CFE exam. The ACFE website has complete details on requirements for the CFE exam.

Accounting concentration graduates with a CPA may also be interested in pursuing the Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA). Requirements are listed on the American College of Forensic Examiners International (ACFEI) website.
