ATP Pilot Operations
The ATP Pilot Operations program provides a fast track into the regional airlines. Mountain State University has partnered with ATP to enable students to pursue a degree in aviation while simultaneously working toward FAA pilot certification. Our program allows you to complete both your flight training and a B.S. in ATP Pilot Operations in eight semesters, or you can complete an A.S. in as little as four semesters
Benefits of the program:
- Over 100 hours multi-engine experience
- Academic courses focused on the airline industry
- Flight training at ATP flight schools nationwide
- Complete your college coursework at our main campus in Beckley, West Virginia, or online
- Approximately 16 months from zero time through commercial multi instrument with CFIs and advanced jet training
- Affordable financing, including federal student aid and private loans may be available
How does the program work?
Students receive their training at an ATP flight training center while simultaneously taking classes from MSU. Academic courses are also offered on Mountain State University's main campus. The program is structured so that students can go from zero flight training to an instrument and multi-engine rated commercial pilot with flight instructor (CFI) certificates and an associate degree in as little as 16 months.
Major and regional airlines prefer to hire pilots with bachelor's degrees, and our program is designed to help you meet this requirement, gain the required flight experience, and advance your career!
Author and pilot Richard Bach wrote in his book, Stranger to the Ground, "The sky is available to everyone, but only a few seek it out." Will you?
