Medical Transcription
Mountain State University's one-year certificate program in medical transcription is open to those who currently work in transcription but are not certified, as well as those who are expanding their employment options by beginning their studies in the field.
Why MSU for Medical Transcription?
Whether you are a beginning transcriptionist or one with experience who would like to apply for advanced credentials such as national certification, our program will increase your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and disease processes.
The program accepts new students for fall, spring, and summer semesters, and maintains a rolling admissions policy. Qualified applicants are accepted until the upcoming class is filled, then are placed on a waiting list for the next class.
The certificate can be completed in conjunction with an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or as a stand-alone program.
Career Opportunities
While many medical transcriptionists work in physician's offices, medical and surgical clinics, or hospitals, it is also an excellent career choice for anyone who prefers to work from home.
