About the Alumni Association

Our Mission
The mission of the Alumni Association is to encourage a spirit of loyalty, pride, and commitment among the alumni and students of Mountain State University, and to promote a mutually beneficial relationship between the University and its alumni.

Membership
Every graduate of Mountain State University is considered a member of the MSU Alumni Association. The association also extends membership to non-graduates who have successfully completed at least one semester of study at MSU.

Alumni Advisory Council
The governing body of the MSU Alumni Association, the Alumni Advisory Council meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the Office of University Advancement. Charleston/Huntington Club
We also have a Charleston/Huntington West Virginia Club that meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Shoney’s at the Teay’s Valley exit.

The Alumni Advisory Council works to accomplish the following goals:

• Developing programs that foster fellowship among alumni.
• Providing information to alumni about University programs and activities.
• Assisting in University fund raising efforts.
• Assisting in student recruitment.
• Recognizing distinguished alumni career and service achievements through the Alumni Hall of Fame awards program.
