Alumni honored at 2007 Foundation Honors Dinner
This year marked a very special year for Mountain State University. In years past we have held our annual Alumni Hall of Fame banquet on campus at the John W. Eye Conference Center. Last year we were literally bursting at the seams. This year we realized that we would have to find a larger facility to hold our annual celebration.

As luck would have it, the MSU Foundation was in the process of planning their first annual dinner and fundraiser. The Alumni Association was honored to be selected as this year’s recipient. We were able to honor our Alumni Hall of Fame inductees and share in the celebration of our newly formed Foundation. The event was held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Tamarack Conference Center and raised nearly $10,000 for the MSU endowed Scholarship. Our Guest speaker was former astronaut Captain Jon McBride, retired US Navy. The Alumni Association inducted four alumni and one honorary alumna into its Alumni Hall of Fame.
Michael Ann Dulcie, MSU director of alumni relations, said, “Each year this event grows and it is so exciting to be able to say that we have outgrown our venue. Moving the event to the Tamarack shows that the community realizes the importance of the contribution made by Mountain State University and our alumni. Each of these individuals are living proof of the power of education and its contribution to those around us.”
