The Sports Medicine Department is an integral part of the health care team, providing a unique service, which is essential to the quality health care of the varsity athlete population at Mountain State University.
It is our full belief that no injury/illness, nor nutritional concern is neither too great nor too small to receive anything but our fullest attention in every detail, while functioning in a cost efficient mode and within the regulations set forth by the NAIA, KIAC, and the University Athletic Department. Regardless of the time of day or night, it is the intent and purpose of the Sports Medicine Department to enhance health, improve performance, and to provide our student-athletes the absolute best care possible.
The philosophy of the Sports Medicine Department is a commitment to patient care and education, with an emphasis on Excellence, Innovation, and Results, achieved through the implementation of the latest research and evidence-based medical practices.
