We encourage all Mountain State University students to purchase insurance. The following types of insurance are recommended or required:

Health Insurance
Health insurance is required for international students and those admitted to programs in the School of Health Sciences. It is recommended for all other students. You can purchase health insurance through Mountain State University. For information on purchasing health insurance, contact the Coordinator of Campus Life, at 304-929-1402. Malpractice Insurance
Malpractice Insurance is required of all students admitted to programs in the School of Health Sciences and all senior social work students. For information on malpractice insurance, contact your program director.

Renter's Insurance
Renter's insurance is recommended for all students living in campus housing. Mountain State University is not responsible nor will accept liability for theft, loss, or damage to students' property. Contact Cristi Richardson, Manager of Housing and Residential Life, at 304-929-1474 or cristir@mountainstate.edu for further information.

The NSSI website is located at http://www.nssinc.com and provides students the opportunity to apply for coverage, renew or modify existing coverage, and obtain all the information they need about this program.
