Thank You Letters

Quick Links

It is essential to send a thank you letter to your interviewer within 24 hours of the interview.  This strategy is advantageous for several reasons.  First, the interview is still fresh in your mind, so you can incorporate part of the discussion in the letter.  Second, when there is strong competition for a job, a thank you letter has the potential to increase your chances of winning an offer by going the extra mile.  It is important to note that failure to send a thank you letter, especially with other candidates have taken this initiative, places your application at a disadvantage.  A thank you letter demonstrates to the interviewer you have professional manners.  And finally, the letter assures potential employers you are still interested in the job position.
