Mail Settings for Students at Mountain State University

Dear MSU Student:

The Information Technology department is pleased to announce that we have changed our in-house student email services over to everyone.net.  If you are a 2007 FALL ENROLLED student, you can access your new email service by going to http://mail.msucougar.org/. You will still have the same email address (FirstName.LastName@msucougar.org), but you will now have a new and improved service provider.

Here are some of the most important features of your new email service provider:

• Your email account will increase from 10mb to 25mb of storage.
• You will now have a Personal Web Calendar to manage your school, social, and personal activities.
• You will have continuous tech support—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just email support@everyone.net if you have any issues.
• You can access your important messages via SmartPhone or BlackBerry, with full set-up assistance and support.

And the most important feature . . .

ü  You’ll have up-to-date spam and virus filtering with BounceShield, eliminating forged return messages!

There will be a required $5.00 - “one time fee”-charged to all enrolled student accounts for the addition and maintenance of the new everyone.net email account.  There will be no additional charges as long as you keep your account active by accessing it at least once every ninety (90) days.  If your account is cancelled due to inactivity, there will be a $5.00 charge to re-open and reactivate your account.  If your email account is accessed at least once every ninety days, your email account will remain active and “paid in full” for as long as you are a student at MSU.  This change and charge are mandatory for all students and you will be expected to use your new Mountain State account for all school related matters.

** If you are an enrolled S1 or S2 MSU student and haven’t enrolled yet for Fall 2007 but wish to keep your MSU account active, please send an email to itsupport@mountainstate.edu with your full name and student id stating that you wish to keep it. **
