Learning Resources:
Academic Advising
Academic Advising provides assistance to student in planning their class schedules and course progression. It is strongly recommended that you meet with your academic advisor prior to the start of each semester.
Testing and Tutoring
The tutoring program provides academic support to students. It helps students learn to help themselves through active learning and increased confidence in their own abilities. Students who work as tutors develop skills that are beneficial not only in their own classes, but also in the workplace and other areas of life.
Students who need academic assistance may benefit from peer tutoring services, which are offered on the Beckley campus at no charge to currently enrolled students. Peer tutoring is available during the fall and spring semesters, either on a walk-in basis or by appointment.
Online tutoring is available in a wide variety of subjects year round via a partnership with Tutor.com. Students can access online tutoring through the MSU website.
Disability Accommodation
Mountain State University makes every effort to provide assistance to those in need. For more information on information required and the review process, see the Disability Accommodation page.
