Robert C. Byrd Library

These lists represent all new materials added to the library collection for fall semester, 2007.

The Robert C. Byrd Library is located on the second floor of the Robert C. Byrd Learning Resource Center. The library offers extensive holdings of books, videotapes, print periodical subscriptions, and electronic resources. Tables and study carrels are available for research and study, as well as a well-trained staff providing professional assistance to the University's students, faculty, and staff. An open computer lab with 40 workstations is available for student use during library hours. Internet access on all computers allows students to easily search the automated catalogs of libraries throughout West Virginia and the Library of Congress. Library video facilities are also available for students to view assigned videotapes and DVDs.

Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Summer Session:
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, CLOSED

Between Semesters:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am-Noon & 2pm-4pm

Learning Resources:

Technology Zone

Providing students with contemporary and relevant electronic business opportunities, training, and internships, the Technology Zone establishes a climate for new, high-technology business ventures. These centers of influence will become the next generation of leadership for the region and contribute significantly to improving the quality of life for residents of the region.

Academic Advising

Academic Advising provides assistance to student in planning their class schedules and course progression. It is strongly recommended that you meet with your academic advisor prior to the start of each semester.

Testing and Tutoring

The Testing and Tutoring Center at Mountain State University allows students to receive credit towards their degree by completing exams developed by the University.
