POSITION: Nontraditional Nursing Faculty

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have a MSN degree, master’s focus in nursing education preferred, earned doctorate preferred; an unencumbered WV nursing license and a valid driver’s license; effective organizational skills, effective communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following: provide quality instruction to a diverse student population in the classroom and/or clinical setting, utilize a variety of adult learning methods, assist in the continued development and evaluation of the nursing program, follow content outlines and course objectives established by the nursing department, evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical settings, maintain appropriate course records, participate in faculty meetings and serve on departmental committees as assigned, maintain university required training and continuing education for professional development, participate in commencement and other required university functions, comply with the core competencies of nurse educations as defined by the NLN.

EFFECTIVE:
Immediate. Position will remain open until filled.
