POSITION: Coordinator of Administrative Education – Medical Assisting

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have a BS degree in related business or health care field (required), master’s degree preferred; must have Medical Assisting knowledge consistent with accreditation guidelines and standards; knowledge of medical coding and billing preferred and knowledge in educational theory required; minimum of 5 years postsecondary teaching experience in Medical Assisting or related field required; minimum of 3 years experience in administrative medical assisting and 1 year experience in clinical medical assisting required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following: Teach competency-based administrative courses in the Medical Assisting, Medical coding/Billing and Medical Transcription programs; also teaches clinical courses in the Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy programs as needed; assist with coordination and management of Practica, Externships and Internships; assists with supervision of adjunct faculty, student academic advising, curriculum development, compliance with accreditation guidelines and standards, campus and community activities.

EFFECTIVE:
Immediate. Position will remain open until filled.
