POSITION: Assistant Director of Graduate Nursing – Orlando, FL Campus

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate degree, a MSN degree, master’s focus in nursing education or administration preferred, an unencumbered nursing license, valid driver’s license; 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably in an accredited nursing program, 1-2 years experience in the use of various office software, 1-2 years management experience i.e. nurse manager or director preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following: manage the Admin/Ed Graduate Nursing Program faculty and curriculum delivery within Orlando, FL as well as continue to participate as a full time teaching faculty member; participates with faculty recruitment, orientation and evaluation; participates in recruitment, consultation and advising, communication with community liaisons for clinical experiences; conducts combined undergraduate and graduate Orlando Nursing faculty meetings; coordinates new clinical site agreements; provides quality instruction to a diverse student population to ensure appropriate curriculum content; provides appropriate orientation and resource materials based on established course content; evaluates student performance; maintains university required training and continuing education for professional development; complies with Core Competencies of Nurse Educators as defined by the NLN; assists with completion of annual reports; participates in special projects as assigned; coordinates student activities; maintains posted office hours.
