About the Mountain State University Foundation

As a private, not-for-profit university, MSU receives no public funding to support its operations. Therefore, the support of our donors is critical to maintaining the high quality and wide range of educational services at the University. Your support is also a strong endorsement of MSU and its mission for other foundations and funding sources.

The Mountain State Scholarship Circle is an endowment fund that provides scholarships to deserving students. Gifts to the Scholarship Circle are permanently invested in the endowment fund and the interest is awarded annually in the form of student scholarships.

A gift of $10,000 or more can be designated to establish a named scholarship or endowed fund. This lasting legacy can carry your own name, your family name, or the name of someone you wish to honor or memorialize.

Additionally, you can designate your contribution to support a particular program or service at MSU, whether it’s an academic department, athletics, the Academy at Mountain State University, the library, technology, campus beautification, or virtually any other area.
