    Cougar Cat is MSU's on-line catalog.
  • Bates’ Visual Guide to Physical Examination    Access | Instructions
    This contains a series of video guides to physical examination.
  • Credo Reference    Access | Instructions
    This is a portal for hundreds of electronic reference books covering all subject areas, including dictionaries, encyclopedias and handbooks.
  • Encyclopædia Britannica    Access | Instructions
    With over 73,000 articles, Encyclopædia Britannica is one of the most complete and accurate information sources in the world. It contains both short and book-length articles on every subject.
  • Ebscohost    Access | Instructions
    Ebscohost is a full-text periodical database that contains both general and subject-specific databases that can be searched individually or all at once. It includes Medline and CINAHL.
  • Gale Business and Company Resource    Access | Instructions
    Contains company profiles, financial information, and investment and industry information.
  • Gale Virtual Reference Library    Access | Instructions
    This provides access to selected reference e-books. CLICK HERE for a list of titles in GVRL.
  • Hoover's    Access | Instructions
    Hoover’s contains information about public and private companies, as well as news and events, industry descriptions, defunct company information.
  • NC Live    Access | Instructions
    NC Live is a collection of electronic resources, including encyclopedias, periodicals, and newspapers. It is only available to North Carolina residents.
  • NetLibrary    Access | Instructions
    Allows internet access to select e-books covering various disciplines.
  • NewsBank    Access | Instructions
    NewsBank offers selected articles from various national and international newspapers. Also provides maps.
  • Access Newspaper Archive    Access | Instructions
    This offer current as well as archival access to national and international newspapers, including several West Virginia newspapers, among them the Register-Herald.
  • ProQuest    Access | Instructions
    ProQuest is a periodical database that contains several general and subject-specific databases. It includes ABI/Inform.
  • R2 Library    Access | Instructions
    R2 Library provides access to nursing and allied health e-books. Off campus students need to contact valeries@mountainstate.edu for login information. CLICK HERE for a list of titles in R2.
  • Reference USA    Access | Instructions
    Reference USA is a business database containing directory information on both large and small companies. It includes smaller businesses not covered in other such databases.
  • Salem Health    Access | Instructions
    Salem Health provides access to Magill’s Medical Guide.
  • Science Direct    Access | Instructions
    Provides online access to a specific group of electronic journals to which we subscribe in print. CLICK HERE for a list of these journals.
  • Serials Solutions    Access | Instructions
    This is an index to MSU's full text journal holdings, including our print, microform, and online titles.
  • SIRS Knowledge Source    Access | Instructions
    SIRS is a full-text database covering social issues, the arts, and government documents.
  • Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage    Access | Instructions
    NetAdvantage contains comprehensive company information, investment information, market and industry evaluations, and news articles.
  • STAT!Ref    Access | Instructions

    MSU has teamed up with Tutor.com to provide our students with Live Homework Help, available 6 P.M. to midnight.
  • Westlaw    Access | Instructions
