Electronic Database Instructions

The best way to learn how to use online databases is by actually going in and using them. Contact Sue Phillips, the Academic Resource Librarian, at suephil@mountainstate.edu for the required usernames and passwords.

Hoover's

Hoover’s gives access to information on businesses worldwide.

Step 1: Click on the Hoover’s link.

Step 2: Choose the search area…Companies, People, Industries, News by clicking on the appropriate tab.

Step 3: Enter your topic and click on "Search."

Step 4: Choose the location and click on the title.

Step 5: Choose the record to view and click on the link.

Step 6: End by clicking on "Log Out" in the top right-hand corner.
