School of Health SciencesThe School of Health Sciences offers associate and bachelor’s degree programs in health care and health sciences as well as certificates of specialization and the undergraduate component of an entry-level master’s degree program in physician assistant. A preprofessional year option offers preparation for most majors in the School of Health Sciences. Most programs in the School of Health Sciences have specific admission requirements, which are described in each program’s listing in the Programs of Study section. Applicants may be required to meet health and legal requirements in addition to academic criteria. Admission is competitive, and meeting the requirements for a program does not guarantee admission. Carefully review the requirements for any program to which you plan to apply; you may also want to discuss your background and application with an advisor. ACCEPTANCE TO SELECTIVE
ENROLLMENT PROGRAMS If you are accepted into a selective enrollment program, you must accept your position in the class by the specified
acceptance date. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your space. Students who wish to postpone their acceptance until the following year are required to reapply. PROGRAM FEES In addition to University tuition, deposits, and fees, students enrolling in the School of Health Sciences programs must pay clinical, laboratory, program, and special fees when applicable. Contact Student Services for the current schedule of fees. CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS
You must maintain liability and health insurance and CPR certification throughout your studies. You are also required to obtain uniforms, supplies, and a name pin according to program specifications. |
