Conferral of Degree

Graduate degrees are formally conferred at the end of each term for students in traditional programs and at the end of each month for students in programs that do not follow a traditional academic calendar. Once you have met all degree requirements, however, your program administrator can issue a statement that you have completed your degree.

All students who have applied for graduation will receive information about participating in the Commencement ceremony, held in Beckley, W.Va., each May, or in a branch campus ceremony. Participation is encouraged for all master’s graduates.
