Mountain State University is one of 188
colleges and universities designated as
Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges. As part of its participation in the program, the University is committed to ensuring educational opportunities for servicemembers and
providing for the transfer of relevant course credits from military training. Additional information on SOC programs is available upon request.
The University also participates in the Army Recruiting Command’s Concurrent Admissions Program, which allows eligible newly enlisting soldiers to be granted admission or provisional admission and to defer their enrollment until they have completed their initial enlistment or, for those in the Army Reserve, their initial active duty.
Military Service Credit
Mountain State University recognizes the American Council on Education’s credit recommendations for the learning associated with military training programs as published in its Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. Active duty and retired servicemembers must submit official copies of their DD Form 214, DD Form 295, AARTS, or SMART transcript to Student Services for evaluation. Military credit will appear on your transcript with a grade of P (pass).
