Seniors at Mountain State (SAMS)
UNDERGRADUATE CATALOG INDEX

Seniors at Mountain State, or SAMS, allows anyone 60 or older to attend most classroom-based undergraduate courses on a space-available basis without paying tuition or fees. Enrolling as a SAMS student allows you to earn regular University credit and work toward a degree if you wish; you also have the same access to library and YMCA facilities as other students. You pay only for your textbooks and materials, and in some cases (such as culinary arts courses) any fees that are charged in addition to the regular tuition rate.

SAMS enrollment is not available in some areas, including graduate programs, health science programs, selective enrollment programs, team learning (cohort) programs, and online and independent study classes. SAMS students are required to register with a traditional enrollment coordinator each semester.
