LIBERAL STUDIES (B.S., B.A.)
School of Arts and Sciences
|
 |
The University’s program of liberal studies allows students to design a career-oriented liberal arts degree that reflects their personal and professional goals. Each student works closely with an advisor to design and complete a program that leads to a B.A. or B.S. in a specific concentration. Typical concentrations organize core courses around subject areas in humanities, natural sciences, or social sciences, amounting to 120 semester hours. Regardless of concentration, the liberal studies curriculum has two primary components: one focused on the liberal arts and general education, and the other on career-specific studies.
Liberal Arts Component
The liberal arts component comprises 63 hours of general studies, liberal arts electives, and liberal studies courses.
