MSU student organizations make holidays brighter for local residents December 10, 2002
Mountain State University's Criminal Justice Clubs and Students in Free Enterprise are embarking on two community service projects aimed at helping residents of Raleigh County this winter. Criminal justice students are collecting toiletries, candy and school supplies for students at Stratton Elementary School in Beckley. The gifts will be wrapped and delivered to the students on December 9. Anyone interested in donating articles for the effort should contact Heidi Samuels, sponsor of the MSU Criminal Justice Clubs at 929-1459.
Members of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) are sponsoring a winter coat and sweater drive to benefit the Women's Resource Center of Raleigh County. Donations will be accepted throughout the winter months. For more information on how to donate, call SIFE sponsor Kathy Payne at 1378.
