"H O2 T" Nightclub Trend Comes to Southern West Virginia! October 18, 2002
It's the rage out west...it's red hot in Paris...and now, it's coming to Beckley! On Thursday, October 24, the Mountain State University Coffeehouse will be the place to experience the most "refreshing" trend in after hours socializing—the Oxygen Bar!
From 8pm to midnight on Thursday, MSU's Respiratory Care program will be offering aromatherapy oxygen treatments for just .50 a minute. The purified, filtered oxygen is infused with your choice of aromas, such as vanilla, tangerine, eucalyptus, and other delights for the ultimate relaxing and rejuvenating experience!
Oxygen bars have been used in Japan and other countries for years as a way to allow people a healthy, revitalizing alternative to the usual nightclub scene. The benefits of oxygen aromatherapy are purported to include increased energy and stamina, stress reduction, and relief from allergies and headaches.
In addition to the aromatherapy oxygen treatments, the coffeehouse, located in the John W. Eye Conference Center, will also offer coffee beverages, music, karaoke and dancing. The proceeds will help fund a trip by MSU's Respiratory Care students to an educational conference in Morgantown.
