MSU Academy Set for Fall 2003 Opening
October 08, 2002
Mountain State University's Academy is on track to accept students beginning Fall 2003, providing Southern West Virginia with its first independent, non-denominational college preparatory school.
Dean of the Academy Bill Borg joined us on September 2. Borg is establishing a Parent Advisory Committee to create a mission statement, values statement, and an honor code for the Academy. The school will accept 9th and 10th grade students when it begins its first semester in September 2003.
MSU Academy officials are currently reviewing specifications for a new 12-classroom building to be constructed behind the Academy's main building on South Kanawha Street.
An open house is being planned for November 16. For more information regarding the open house or the Academy please contact Bill Borg, Dean of the Academy at 304.929.1625 or April Trent, Assistant to the Dean at 304.929.1627.
