2004 Graduation

COMMENCEMENT – Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Raleigh County Armory/Civic Center
MAJOR GENERAL ALLEN E. TACKETT, The Adjutant General for the West Virginia National Guard will be the commencement speaker. As The Adjutant General, State of West Virginia, he provides command guidance and vision to the West Virginia Army and Air National Guard of more than 5,700 citizen soldiers and airmen.
ACADEMIC REGALIA
If you plan to participate in the commencement ceremony, you must purchase your academic regalia. All caps and gowns will be black in color for the ceremony this year. You may order the academic regalia either by attending the career and graduation fair (see enclosed flyer) or by mail. If you order by mail, please complete the enclosed cap, gown and tassel order slip. You must submit payment in full when submitting the enclosed order slip. The prices (including sales tax) for this academic year are as follows:
- Bachelor or Associate degree (includes cap, gown and tassel), $26.50
- Master degree (includes cap, gown and tassel), $29.15
- Graduate Hood, $23.59
- Extra Tassel, $5.30
If you will be unable to visit the MSU Bookstore to pick up your cap and gown, MSU will ship your order. If you would like your order shipped, please add $7.00 to your payment for shipping and enclose a shipping address. Please make checks and money orders payable to “Mountain State University”. Orders must be received in the bookstore prior to March 19th. Please mail the order slip and payment to the following address:

DIPLOMA FRAMING
Information is enclosed concerning framing for your diploma. Sample diplomas and framing are displayed in the bookstore.
OFFICIAL RING
A ring is reserved exclusively for students who have achieved junior or senior year status in good standing. Please see the enclosed brochure for additional information.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Personalized college announcements are available through the MSU bookstore. Please see the enclosed flyer for package and pricing information.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
You will receive additional information concerning the commencement ceremony including guests, lodging, parking and directions within 4-6 weeks.
