Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (B.S)
The curriculum in organizational leadership provides a broad leadership education that is applicable to understanding the nature and dynamics of any organization, with a classroom or on-line experience focused on the development of skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. The program is offered at branch campuses in West Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, or on-line in a format designed for working adults. A weekly class schedule allows students to complete 48 semester hours in about 18 months and to qualify as full-time students for financial aid purposes.
The program is delivered to cohorts of students, with a new cohort beginning when there is a sufficient number of students. Each cohort studies the same curriculum as a group and on the same timetable. Because of the cohort format, transfer credit cannot be substituted for any OL major course in the program, and new students may not join the cohort once the program has begun.
Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, applicants must meet the requirements for general admission to Mountain State University, have a minimum of 40 semester hours of college credit eligible for transfer to the University with a minimum transferable grade point average of 2.0, and be at least 25 years old with at least two years of work experience. Applicants who do not fully meet these requirements are considered on a case-by-case basis. Prospective students who do not yet have sufficient college credit to qualify for admission and enrolled students working to meet graduation requirements may be able to earn credit through Spectrum, the University's integrated general education program; Individualized Study; transfer credit; proficiency examinations; prior learning credit for certificates, licenses, diplomas, non collegiate or corporate instruction, experiential learning, and contract learning; or other arrangements.
