Individualized Study
Independent Student allows students to pursue their degree on their own time and at their own pace. Individualized Study is available to all students at Mountain State University, but it is most often used by those who live far from campus or who are unable to attend traditional classes.

Online Programs
Mountain State University offers online courses and degrees via the Blackboard CE and WebCT CE 4 learning management systems. Both programs feature tools that allow students to access course information, communicate with their instructors and other students, take exams, and submit assignments.

Cohorts
Cohorts are formed in various locations and groups of students who meet together once a week, to complete a sequence of courses leading to a degree. This type of learning is especially attractive to working adults, because of the accelerated nature of the programs and classes designed to accommodate work schedules.

Degree Completion
Mountain State University's degree completion programs offer adult students an opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in as little as eighteen months. If you are 25 years of age or older and have earned at least 40 hours of college credit, but have no degree, you may qualify to enter the degree completion program.

Spectrum General Education
Spectrum is the first step for adults starting out to earn a degree. Designed for those with busy lives, Spectrum allows you to complete the first phase of your degree work without complicated scheduling.
