West Virginia Nursing Programs

Patsy H. Haslam School of Health Sciences

West Virginia Nursing Programs

Start your career in nursing at MSU

With nursing programs in various sites throughout West Virginia, Mountain State University and the Patsy H. Haslam School of Health Sciences has quickly become the largest nursing school in the state. Through our Bridge initiative, we are partnering with vocational and technical schools across West Virginia, starting in Mercer County, to provide opportunities for health care professionals to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees. By completing one of our BSN or MSN programs, nurses increase their expertise and expand their opportunities for employment.

If you are interested in working with people in a helping capacity, nursing may be a desirable option for you. A good candidate for our nursing programs has good communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to think critically and solve problems. Jobs for RNs are increasing at a faster rate than for any other occupation, with growth expected to continue through 2016 and beyond. Job security, flexibility, and opportunity for specialization are a few of the benefits of a career in nursing.
