Psychology of Early Childhood Development (A.A.S.)
The Associate of Applied Science program in Psychology of Early Childhood Development provides a comprehensive knowledge base for birth-to-kindergarten educators. The program investigates a broad array of early childhood core topics, critical and reflective analyses, international perspectives, and innovative and futuristic approaches to education. Students typically conduct 15 hours of observation in the center where they have completed their ACDS (Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist) training; exceptions require the instructor’s permission.
The program is available through Spectrum at educational sites throughout West Virginia as well as the Beckley and Martinsburg campuses.
