Entering Freshmen — How to apply
|
 |
If you are an International student, please see how to apply on the International Students page.
A student who is a high school senior, completing a home schooling curriculum, or an adult who is attending college for the first time should follow these steps to complete the application process. To be considered for admission to Mountain State University, you must submit the following items to the Office of Enrollment Management:
- Application for admission to Mountain State University.
- An official high school transcript, home schooling document, or GED certificate; and
- A housing application or exemption form.
Please note: Full-time freshmen and sophomores under the age of 21 must live in an on-campus residence hall, unless living with parent(s)/guardian(s), are married, or have dependents.
SAT or ACT scores are not required for general admission to MSU, however they are required for some degree programs. Official SAT or ACT scores are also required for placement purposes in English and Mathematics.
Admission to Limited Enrollment Programs
General admission to the University does not necessarily admit you to a particular program or course. Limited enrollment programs may have specific admission requirements in addition to the University's general requirements. The admissions committee of each limited enrollment program, based on program criteria, makes admissions decisions. If you are planning to apply for one of these degree programs, contact the Office of Enrollment Management for more information.
