High School Scholarship Program
The high school scholarship program provides an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to experience a university environment. It also gives prospective college students a head start in terms of both time and money.

Participants may enroll in a maximum of 12 hours of freshman and sophomore level coursework without paying tuition or fees. To receive college credit for the courses you take through this program, you must enroll at Mountain State University within a year of graduating from high school, successfully complete a minimum of 12 credit hours during the fall, spring, or two summer sessions, and have a minimum grade of "C" in each class. When you have fulfilled this requirement, the grades and credits you earned through the high school scholarship program will also appear on your academic transcript and will apply toward your program of study.

If you choose not to attend MSU after graduation, you may have the grades and credits you earned through the high school scholarship program applied to a transcript by paying the tuition and fees for each credit hour.

The High School Scholarship does not apply to independent study or program-specific courses, or to online or cohort programs. Whether credit earned through the program can be applied to high school graduation requirements depends on the policy of the school or school system. HSSP students are required to register with a traditional enrollment coordinator each semester. Contact the Office of Enrollment Management for more information.
