2007-2008 Cheerleaders


	Charles Lewis Elkins (Chuckie) Chuckie is a senior majoring in Business Management. He is the son of Chris and Kathy Lewis-Payne of Fayetteville and Chuck Elkins of Logan, WV. Chuckie is a graduate of Fayetteville High School. This is his fourth year on the MSU Cheer Team. In 2005 he was awarded the Coal Classic award for outstanding mascot performance. His hobbies include jet skiing, flying and all sporting activities and events. He is a member of Fayetteville First Church of God and President of SIFE at MSU.
	Robert Bays Robert is in his junior year in the Fire Science Program. He is the son of Claytina Shepherd and CE Bays, both of Beckley, WV. Robert is a graduate of Independence High School. This is his third year with the MSU Cheer Team. His hobbies include firefighting, jet skiing and hanging out with friends. He is a member of the Sophia City Volunteer Fire Department and the Church of God Family Worship Center.

	Courtney Gilkerson Courtney graduated in August 2007 from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She is now a junior in the Health Care Administration Program. She is the daughter of Neon Gilkerson of Springdale, WV. Courtney is a graduate of Meadow Bridge High School. She has cheered for 9 years. This is her third year with the MSU cheer team. Her hobbies include 4-wheeling, camping, spending time with her family and her animals, working out and shopping. She is a member of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Church of Christ.

	Brandy Sharp Brandy is in her sophomore year in the Forensic Pathology and CSI Program. She is the daughter of Michael and Denise Sharp of Marlinton, WV. Brandy is a graduate of Pocahontas County High School. She has cheered for 13 years. Her hobbies include swimming, fishing, camping with her grandparents, competing in pageants, painting, drawing, dancing and hanging out with family and friends. She is a member of FIA.

	Brittany Elkins Brittany is in her sophomore year in the Forensic Crime Scene Investigation Program. She is the daughter of Linda (Susie) and Cledith Elkins of Hamlin, WV. Brittany is a graduate of Hamlin High School. This is her seventh year of cheerleading. Her hobbies include playing sports, 4-wheeling, gymnastics, sewing and outdoor activities.


	Cassie McKenzie Cassie is in her junior year majoring in Respiratory Therapy. She is the daughter of Ronnie and Ellen McKenzie of Welch, WV. Cassie is a graduate of Mount View High School. She has cheered for 15 years. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, four-wheeling, fishing, swimming, dancing, and cheering.

	Myka James Myka is in her freshman year in the Wildlife Management Program. She is a Mountain State University Student Ambassador. She is the daughter of Mike and Georgane James of Clintonville, WV. Myka is a graduate of Greenbrier West High School. She has been cheering for seven years. In her spare time, Myka enjoys 4-wheeling, listening to music and laughing with her friends.

	Jenny Gray Jenny is in her freshman year in the Nursing Program. She is the daughter of Linda Gray of Rainelle, WV. Jenny is a graduate of Greenbrier High School. This is her eight year as a cheerleader. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

	Leslee Allen Leslee is in her sophomore year in the Forensic Pathology program. She is the daughter of Michael and Pamela Pannell of Beckley WV. Leslee is a graduate of Shady Spring High School. She has cheered for 12 years. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, writing poetry and shopping. She is an alumnus of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, Concord University.

	Jennifer Parsons Jenny is a freshman. She is a graduate of Sherman High School. This is her first year on the MSU Cheer Team.
