Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Media Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 27th, 2008) The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce Player of the Week honors for October 20th- October 26th in Soccer. Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week: Michel Hiza, Mountain State University Michel Hiza was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for October 20th- October 26th. Hiza is a 5-10 junior defender from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Hiza scored a goal and assist in the 4-0 win. The goal was his first on the season.
Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week: Roberto Clerveaux, Mountain State University Roberto Clerveaux was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for October 20th- October 26th. Clerveaux is a 6-0 freshman goalkeeper from Boynton Beach, Florida. Clerveaux made seven saves in his latest shutout against Averett University. His streak of shutouts is now up to 405 minutes.
