Cesar Quintero
Head Men's Soccer Coach

Cesar Quintero is in his first year with the men’s soccer program at Mountain State University. As a former professional player and youth coach he brings more than 30 years of experience and knowledge to the program.

After a wonderful playing career, Cesar worked with multiple teams to develop and prepare players to move on to college and professional levels. His knowledge of balance, coordination, agility, and speed also allowed him to develop athletes of all sports.

Prior to his arrival at MSU, Cesar served as the men’s soccer coach for St. Augustine High School in St. Augustine, Florida. In his first year with the high school, Cesar lead his team to the district tournament. He also led his Ancient City Soccer Club U17 team to third place in their regional cup after only one season.

Cesar is a native of California with both parents being Colombian nationals. He currently holds his USSF national D license and will be attending the USSF C course this spring. He will also be getting involved with the local youth soccer organizations here in Beckley, West Virginia.

Cesar is very anxious to get started with the Cougar’s fourth season. Last season the cougars led the NAIA Kentucky Conference as Conference Champs in 2008. The team finished with a record of 13-5-1.
