Holly Mauldin
Head Volleyball Coach
Holly Mauldin, a native of Columbia, South Carolina, has been named the head coach of the Mountain State University women’s volleyball team. Holly is a 2009 graduate of the University of South Carolina-Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with a degree in Physical Education: Fitness and Recreation.
Holly, a setter, was a four-year volleyball player at USC-Upstate, during which time the school moved from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I. She finished her career with 2,075 assists, fifth in the school’s history. She also had a career total 708 digs and 108 aces. Holly was named to the conference All-Academic Team in each of her 4 years and was named Atlantic Sun Volleyball Player of the Week, Most Valuable Player, and winner of the Pinnacle Award for outstanding achievement in academics and athletics during her senior year.
Holly has coached at the club level for 4 years for Club South Volleyball in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and has been on the staff of summer volleyball camps at Lander University and
USC-Upstate. She has also been active in various community projects such as volunteering with the Humane Society and participating in American Cancer Society events such as “Dig for the Cure” and “Relay for Life.”
Holly is excited about her new position at Mountain State University and is looking forward to a successful volleyball season.
