Campus Life
On our close-knit campus, you won't have to walk far to find entertainment, recreation, service opportunities, and social activities. As a member of the Mountain State University family, you can join with other students to pursue common interests both inside the classroom and out.
On campus, you can enjoy concerts, comedy performances, lectures, readings, dances, and other special events. Workshops, seminars, and issue-oriented programs help keep you informed on topic from personal safety to career options and volunteer opportunities.
Living on Campus
Residence Halls
Both University Hall and Hogan Hall, MSU's primary residences, are conveniently located on the main campus in Beckley. Students live in furnished suites, with common areas that include lounges, study rooms, and laundry facilities. Each suite has free Wi-Fi service as well as telephone and cable outlets (additional charges for service) and is designed to accommodate a microwave and small refrigerator.
Dining & Meal Plans
Just across the street from Hogan Hall and a short walk from University Hall, the Cougar Den features all-you-can-eat freshly prepared meals, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks.
Events & Activities
Campus Life posts a calendar of events monthly. Check out what's going on around the main campus and make plans to join in the activities.
Get Involved
Numerous student groups and honor societies help you connect with others who share a professional or personal interest.
