We encourage all Mountain State University students to purchase insurance. The following types of insurance are recommended or required:
Health Insurance
Health insurance is required for international students and those admitted to programs in the Patsy H. Haslam School of Health Sciences. It is recommended for all other students. For information on health insurance, contact the Dean of Students at 304.929.1434. Please refer to options below:

Malpractice Insurance
Malpractice Insurance is required of all students admitted to programs in the Patsy H. Haslam School of Health Sciences and all senior social work students. For information on malpractice insurance, contact your program director.
Renter's Insurance
Renter's insurance is recommended for all students living in campus housing. Mountain State University is not responsible nor will accept liability for theft, loss, or damage to students' property. Contact the Residence Life Coordinator at 304.929.1474 for further information.
The NSSI website is located at http://www.nssi.com and provides students the opportunity to apply for coverage, renew or modify existing coverage, and obtain all the information they need about this program.
